About Regina

Regina is the capital of Saskatchewan, the "Queen City" built on the flat prairie around the man-made Wascana Lake. Its centrepiece is Wascana Centre, one of the largest urban parks in North America, wrapping the Saskatchewan Legislative Building, the Royal Saskatchewan Museum, and miles of lakeside pathway. The city pairs a walkable, historic core — the Cathedral neighbourhood and downtown's Victoria Park — with some of the most affordable housing of any Canadian city, and it runs on one of the country's loudest sports cultures: Rider Nation, and a packed Mosaic Stadium for every Roughriders home game.

What to Love

Wascana Centre and the lake at the heart of the city, with paths, paddling, and prairie sunsets. Housing that stretches a budget — detached homes, condos, and rentals priced well below most major Canadian markets. The Cathedral Village's 13th Avenue, full of cafés, patios, and indie shops, plus the annual Cathedral Village Arts Festival. Downtown's Victoria Park and its summer farmers' market. The RCMP Heritage Centre and a calendar of museums and theatre. Game-day energy on Roughriders weekends. Short commutes across a compact, easy-to-drive grid city.

The Lifestyle

Mornings often mean a loop around Wascana Lake or a coffee on 13th Avenue before a quick drive to work. Lunch is whatever downtown or Cathedral offers — a patio, a deli, a quick bite near the park. Evenings lean toward the Globe Theatre, a show at the Conexus Arts Centre, or a relaxed dinner in the Cathedral district. Weekends turn green on game days, slow at the farmers' market, and easy out on the lake or the surrounding prairie. It's a city sized for an unhurried, affordable, community-minded life.
